What is the best way to put Metallic Paint on the wall? Brush or roller?

Its the Crown Range, Millionaire metallic paint.

Thanks TheDec.

Any other tips? It seems to apply quite streaky (and runs down the wall leaving blobs) when I've used a brush, I presume a roller will sort this out?

Well the roller should offer you a good finish yet it will be down to your technique regarding application, this is not an easy system to apply and even using a roller can offer a patchy finish.

When you say "technique", can you clarify what you mean and any hints/tips to ensure as smooth and even a finish as possible (and without blobs!)? :)

Sorry my reply was rather vague, when you apply this system it is important to apply it evenly, when your roller is almost void of paint finish with light upward strokes lifting the roller from the wall whilst it is still spinning. On no account stop the roller before you remove it, as I have said this is a difficult system to apply.

Thank you.

If you can think of any other useful tips (or anyone else can) please let me know! :)

Well dont forget to stir the paint both before and during application, that can sometimes tend to help against achieving a patchy finish. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks, yeah I noticed that helped when I was applying the tester and initially I didn't stir the paint and it just came out extremely watery and wouldn't take to the wall whatsoever.

Will do :)

When you open either a new or stored tin of paint the binder often called the vehicle will lay on the surface and pigment at the bottom , kept apart only by the solvent which in your case is water, it is therfore very important to stir any paint system prior to use.
