Hi, we are putting some flats into an old office building. There is a flat on each floor - we are putting in an MF ceiling in each to hide ducting for a heat recovery system so need to drop it by c125mm

My question is, whats the best way of doing this? Our skills with MF ceilings are relatively new - would you put a ceiling in between each and every room, or would you put one big ceiling up across the whole floor before building the internal walls?

My only query with the second option is how best to support the header for each stud wall? Plus, does it then get complicated with electrics etc if you haven't boarded the ceiling before you build the stud work etc???

Help appreciated!! TIA

Internal walls first - apart from anything else I would have thought you'd have problems with fire regs if you don't compartmentalise the rooms.
