This model of tyre is typified as being for vans!

Does anyone know if that means it actually BETTER for use on a car or are there some reasons why is would be less suitable for a car?

van tyres are usually designed to favour wear and load abilities. The one you mention also has quite a high profile.

Since the designers can't have unlimited price or attributes, they will balance this by giving lower priority to handling, comfort, grip and speed rating.

The tyres for my Ferrari have the opposite design priorities.

Stupendous grip but de laminate after 200 miles whilst costing £500 a tyre ?

How would the tyre know that it has been fitted to a car? and if it has been fitted to a van or a ferrari, it will do exactly what it is designed to do, that is go round and round!

Oh I forgot, if it is H rated, keep the speed of your Ferrari under 130MPH!
wheel balance and tracking is important though.
