I recently removed a rad for my sistere in law so she could have her walls skimmed by a plasterer
Its a mico bore system th the double valve at one end and when we replaced it we are pretty sure we reset the valve settings to how they were.
Now thouh the rad only gets hot on the bottom inch orso and the other rads on the same floor dont get fully hot either .
I guess its a balancing issue but wouldnt know where to start with this type of valve.

yup but strangley enough ,and she says this happened before i did anything ,unlike my ordinary rads when the air stops coming out you dont get any water coming through .Never done aything with micro bore systems so assumes that was the norm

2 problems you if air stops coming out and no water appears you probably have a blocked cold feed or the ball valve on header tank is stuck upo and not lettin water in.
Secondly twin entry valves should have a length of tube that comes from valve and takes water into the middle of rad as kevplumb says this will have fallen of an needs pushing back into valve

I WAS SURE I HAD FED THE PIPE BACK INTO THE VALVE WHEN I REPLACED IT ALSO THE BOTTOM OF THE RAD (VERY BOTTOM )IS GETTING HOT WHICH I THOUGHT PROVED I HAD
SISTER IN LAW NOW INFORMS ME THAT THE PRESSURE GAUGE ON BOILER IS AT 0 SO AM GOING TO TRY AND REPRESSURISE IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS

So if entire length at bottom is getting hot this would suggest pipe is in a and the now mentioned pressure gauge at zero means you have not even filled the system properly how did you expect it to work with no water being added.
