microbore pipe question

i have just noticed a small drip from kitchen radiator where the microbore pipe comes out of the bottom of the thermostat on the radiator, my question is whats the best way to reseal it? do they use an olive type seal? will i need to drain the system to do it? i have been tiling the floor and am just about to finish off along this wall so am thinking if i need to unscrew this pipe to reseal it now would be a good time as its sort of in the way

sorry if this sort of thing has been asked before but i have never had any experience with microbore

Need more info on the type of system? You might get away with just nipping it up a touch,

all i can tell you is i have a worcester combi boiler upstairs

You can try to tighten the nut (it should turn easily) If it is already very tight you will need to drain the system or reduce the pressure depending on the type of system youve got. You can then wrap the olive with some PTFE and re tighten.

is the pipe with thermostat the in or out? it loos like there is some sort of tap thing on the other pipe would this be somthing for closing the rad?

The other side is the lockshield valve, unfortunately as the leak is at the bottom of the thermostatic valve shutting the valves won't make a difference.

You may be able to tighten the nut with a spanner. You may need to drain it and apply ptfe tape.
