I have an old 600w microwave oven and am uncertain as to what fuse to use in the plug - is a 13 amp fuse correct?

Secondly, because of the lack of regular sockets in my kitchen, I would like to make use of the spare socket in my cooker socket. Is this safe?

You can use the cooker socket.
I assume you dont have the instructions, re what fuse to use. What is the make model.
Although I think most m/waves are fitted with 13amp fuses

I bought it about 15 years ago, took it to South Africa then brought it back minus its plug and insruction manual.

It is a GOLDSTAR MA-6515E, Input: 240v/50Hz, 1000w, 50A; Output: 2450MHz, 600w
