Hi,
I have a Miele condenser dryer and I’ve recently replaced the thermostat because it stopped getting hot , it now gets hot and runs a cycle perfectly , however about 10 mins into cycle it trips the electrics of the house .
I suspect an earth issue but don’t know how too troubleshoot this , I do have a multimeter. When I took the back plate off the day after it tripped the electrics I found this moisture on the inside of the backplate, is damp getting too the element causing the trip and why is this ? It does have a musty smell when running .
Thank you for any advice

What exactly trips, an mcb or the rcd? I can't view your attachment for some reason so cannot see the moisture you mention. Is the "back plate" the rear cover. If so try running the machine but leave the cover off. If moisture is causing the problem then it should stop tripping. A faulty element is a more common cause of the problems you describe though. I doubt you will be ablle to find a fault with a multi meter as you would probably need an inulation tester to stress things. Might be worth looking at his thread below https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/miele-t650c-tumble-dryer-tripping-out-rcd.337477/
