Hi, I’ve just bought a vented tumble dryer (Miele T490) off of a friend and it seemed to work but it was a bit “clicky” so I took the lid off and the sensor brushes were shot. So I replaced them and it was all good (so I thought). It was heating up lovely and making no random noises.... so I put the first load on to dry.... nearly 3hrs later it still wasn’t finished and still only on the “machine iron” stage on the lights!! So I took the lid off again and pulled the sensors away from the drum to replicate a high resistance and hey presto the lights flicked to “normal and anti crease/finish” so what could be the problem that the sensors think the stuff in the drum is still wet?? (By the way the washing after nearly 3hrs was bone dry)
