Hope every ones having a restfull Christmas.
My 1977 Miele Automatic W 433 (washing machine) has developed a worn drum bearing so I have brought a W 436 out of the spare room to replace it.
As I had robbed a Pump, door/drum seal and Drum/pump hose from the W 436 to keep the W 433 going over the last eight years I have had to put them back on the W436 as I thought this would be less work than changing the drum.
The W 436 runs nicely except that what looks like a suppressor/capaciter, a silver cylindrical thingy has gone "POOFFF!", split its side, and taken the 13amp fuse out.
As the maching was full of water I tried replacing the fuse to enable me to drain the water.
Fortunately this worked but not being sure what purpose this silver thingy serves I don't want to push my luck and operate the appliance without it in case it knackers up a good machine.
The reason for this post is to ask if any one has an exploded parts digram or a wiring diagram for one of these machines which they would loan/share/sell to me.
Thanks in advance.
Tim
