Sorry Notch, on some stuff I agree with you, however as I recently touched on in another thread, for me the % of crime they commit is almost an irrelevance.

The core fact remains. We need to stop the boats. We need to have a genuinely robust immigration system that doesn't simply rubber stamp most of these people to reduce the backlog and make the figures look good.

Do we want immigration? Of course. But what we need is genuine people, coming in via approved routes, that can contribute to our society, not be a drain on it.

I will however caveat my post by saying people who think migrants are the main issue when it comes to crime are, quite frankly, narrow-minded and/or bigoted and/or thick.

It's not just a question of how much crime but the gravity of the crime, shop lifting and theft are prevalent crimes amongst British criminals but not Kidnap and Rape they are both crimes that foreigners, particularly the Illegal Migrants (I Refuse to Call Them Refugees or Asylum Seekers, because they are NOT "someone forced to flee their country due to a well-founded fear of persecution for reasons of race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group" Is the UN definition of a Refugee. If they were Refugees where are all the women, Oh I forgot they are Islamists and Consider Women and Children as 2nd Class). they are the ones responsible for the large majority of those crimes.
