I chuckled when I saw that line, reminded me of a Billy Bragg song called The Milkman of human kindness, from his first album I think. It had the line "I love you, I am the milkman of human kindness and I will leave you an extra pint". I wept tears of mirth when I heard it, how corny, but still a good song.
I bought the album for 'Between the wars' and 'A new England', good old Billy, a complete raving socialist but likeable nonetheless, always made sure his albums were sold for less than market price, didn't like his politics, but respected his loyalty to those principals.

Billy Bragg's book "A Progressive Patriot" is a good read, his autobiography. He goes on at length about his home town, which I can't remember whether is Barking or Dagenham, and its history. It's a place I've never visited but he wrote about it so well.

We had the facility to enforce the Schengen rules in 1999 subject to approval . as part of the EU .
However leaving the EU on January 2020 this protocal has now ceased . Migrants entering UK waters are now our problem . we must accept them .
