Mira Event shower

Haven't found a thermostatic Event much under £300.

The shower currently has hot and cold water feed.
That's because the Mira Event is a mixer with a built-in pump that takes its supplies from stored water vessels.

It also has it's own (switched) mains feed coming into it but it doesn't have it's own trip on the main board.
That's because it draws no more than 3 Amps, which can be supported by a ring final circuit (aka ring main) or a fused connection units. Mira says that an FCU "must" be used.

...it doesn't have it's own trip on the main board.
Do you think thats because it doesn't need one (as it's hot and cold feed) or it's because it's been fitted incorrectly after the house has been built?
Because it doesn't need one.

Would this shower need the more powerful cable or do you think it would be ok with what I have?

The Aquastream draws no more current than your existing shower, so in theory no cable change is needed, but at the time of doing the work you should verify that the existing cable is adequate.

The Aquastream is a better quality product than the Mira Event, and has a much longer warranty.
