Mira Event XS Thermostatic Adjusting Hot Water

I would be obliged if anybody could explain how to change the temperature of the hot water on this shower? Turned to max (9) it only gives a warm water shower. This is a like for like replacement I have installed myself so I believe I have made a mistake?
