I have a problem with a thermostatic shower mixer which is not giving hot water when on the full setting. It's a Mira Atom mixer.

It is connected to a combi, the basin/bath in the same bathroom is getting nice hot water, I have tried adjusting it as per manual but it still gices round about 15/20 deg. temp out on max.

Anyone got any ideas as to what could cause it or maybe ha the same problem.

I phoned Mira tech and they said it's more likely a blockage and to see if mixer gets very hot at inlet to hot pipe side, which I checked but could'nt say it was getting v.hot.

It's a brand new install, so filters should be clean as flow was very good, did'nt fit non-return valves should I have?

do non-return valve go on both hot/cold or just hot? and secondly will a pressure reducing valve be ok on the cold?

Unscrew the 3/4" nuts that hold mixer on to the doglegs in the wall.
Remove the inserts that the 3/4" nuts are on and put the nrv's in.

You got the mi's haven't you ?

This one is on a solid tiled wall, and has a bracket thats screwed straight onto the wall, no room for NRV's iic
