Mirror bathroom

I will be installing a mirror with light in my bathroom.

Not sure what one yet but my plan was run the power off of the last downlight straight through and use On/Off switch on the mirror?

With walls not covered yet I've Got the options for wiring at the moment so any help is appreciated.

So are you saying the light on the mirror will only work when the bathroom light is on? Why not pick up a permanent feed from the lighting circuit so that it will work independent of the lights?

Yes that would be the case.

I was thinking about adding a switch live but would I be allowed to add this ? It's just on the Zone 1 and 300mm to the side of the bath/shower zone.

What you proposed to do is a switched live.
To make it work independently of the room lights you would need a permanent live (and the neutral that goes with it, of course).

Yes - if you are able to do it properly.

Not sure what you mean. 240V switches are not allowed in Zone 1 or 2.

If within the zones it will be notifiable to the Local Authority.

Normally these include a switch, either a pull cord or a non-contact ‘hand wave’ switch. Does yours?
