The built-in wardrobes in our bedrooms are fitted with mirrors, fixed to the doors by what appears to be self-adhesive pads. One of the mirrors is slipping and coming loose from its pads. Have these pads a specific name please? I know that might sound obvious but they'd need to be quite strong to secure the mirror as it is approx 5' x 2'6"

Double sided sticky pads for mirrors, really......you'll need to remove the mirror to replace them all, unfortunately.
There's also adhesives available in a tube - personally I don't think you can beat a metal bracket, just to take the weight.
