Missing "Thanks" and "Like" buttons

I tried to thank someone for his post and the thanks and like buttons are missing. I refreshed the page and they are still missing. I have notice this on several occasions; why is it happening?

Sometimes they are there, and other times you need to hover near them before they appear.

Should we start a thread noting down all the inconsistencies of the site for the developers.
