Mitre saw for skirting?

Half the price, reputable brand, and a bigger disc. I also love Makita kit, and have plenty of it, but comparing Makita prices on saws I couldn't justify them.

The only reason I look at Makita is because I was told they were decent and I've brought a drill, sander etc all Makita (and also have OCD) and want to keep the same brand if possible.. stupid I know

That company is ffx.co.uk, who are about the cheapest I have found - and they are definitly selling genuine goods.

But I still recommend the Hitachi what wins, £200 saving or OCD for having 1 brand?

Well true, the price is pretty damn close on FFX.

Sorry for all the stupid questions, if I buy this one will I need to buy any other bits for it? or is she ready to go? I've read that I might need a finer tooth blade for a nice cut on skirting?

Probably want a finer blade if your cutting anything except timber. Other than that its good to go though.

And the linked one is 240v, I guess thats what you want?

Check a recent thread by me about circular saws, getting the right blade as they have different bore sizes!

I'm not that experienced in that area, but I would probably use a 40 tooth, but a bit less would be fine.

With the 20 tooth (or thereabouts) I would worry about it tearing the wood up.
