Just installed new mixer taps in bathroom. Cold water was stronger than hot water before installation. Now the cold is too strong for the hot. Cold shower is great but would like a hot one. Any ideas?
cold WAS stronger now TOO strong for hot .......it`s mains cold .turn it down a bit .OH Dear could be a small bore type inlet reducing hot flow ........is hot flow to other outlets same as B4
Bad advice! You have chosen taps that are not appropriate for the very low hot water pressure you have (height of feed tank above hot tap?). Unless you have an air-lock that can be cleared, there's not much you can do about it that doesn't involve some major plumbing alterations.
thans for that.just had a plumber in (while england game was on) he had a look and has said it needs a pump putting in cost of about £180 or just get a new electric shower put in.id rather not do either.does any1 know were to put this pump,or what kind of pump & can i pick a cheap one up on E-Bay. also the house is only 7 years old ive got a comby boiler but also a tank in one of the bedrooms.is this just incase the comby boiler packs in? any ideas this is driving me MAD....
