i have a second user desktop,and i am trying to install the driver for the broadband connection (speedtouch 330,version 3.01) i put the disc in,the modem is not connected at this stage,it loads info from disc and then i get
"ERROR WHILE LAUNCHING SETUP 0x80040707" ....any help please?

I too had no idea what the error code given meant, so i googled for it and the link is what i came up with.

I hope it works for you.

I had a similar problem with some specialy written for me software, i copied what was missing from my other pc, works a treat (it too had to go in the registry)

been into registry,and the key seems to match the settings from my laptop.i'm wondering if i should do a format of the hard drive? or maybe something else is stopping it being loaded?
