Wireless modem connection

Help or advice please. I am not computer savy so I will explain my problem as best I can.
I have broadband via a cable modem. I changed over to a wireless modem.
All was fine for a few weeks then wireless modem and belkin connector just stopped communicating. I know both are working (tested next doors) but not with each other. I am on AOL 9, windows XP, Belkin ariel, AOL wireless modem connected to BT line.

Just to get it streight, you have an ADSL modem connected to a BT line via a microfilter? What make modem?
If you type in the address of the modem into explorer does it bring up the user/password screen?
