We have the above boiler (2 years) and it has recently started "acting up" -it has a timeclock set for morning which always seems to work at 530am till 730am and then a couple of blank slots to cater for later programming in daytime winter - but then we have it programmed to fire-up at 430pm till 930pm - however it will not fire up - even when we press the override button or switch the boiler on to permanent via the little switch. I have even tried changing the programming slots to see if that made a diffenrences but alas not - i ahve tried all ways to fire it up - however every now and again we tap the front panel in various places and it sometimes fires up but for indefinite periods of time - any ideas. the manual suggests it may be the clock or the CH sensor at fault.

Many thanks for the reply - as that is what I think but not being a heating engineer these things tend to confuse.
