I'd just like to get some thoughts/ ideas before I try something stupid! I am replacing two sets of patio doors in my house and was thinking about using the old slidding doors for the front of a summer house we are putting up at the bottom of the garden.

The easy way would be to just fit one or two of the old sliders into the summer house. But his would be strange as it will create two openings, delegated by the non moving window.

I would like to fit one of the sets centrally, and split the other one and install each part of that set on either side of the first set. This would make it symmetrical.

Is there a way to mount these doors as Windows without a frame? I know it will be a bit of a botch but could look quite nice...

Any ideas???

All theoretically possible but a pain in the ass to do. You would most likely have to build some timber frames and drainage could be a problem using doors as sidelights.

You could try to get some sidelight frames with door couplers made to fit the glass from those doors, Then it would all be straight forward.
