Both our children were born at home, in our front room (although ours were planned that way and I left the 'buiness end' to the midwives!) and I honestly believe it is by far the best place for a baby to be born. I'd recommend it to anyone having a child to have a home birth if possible.
Hope it was nothing too serious that Mum had to go to hospital for afterwards and that they've both doing well now!!
