Please can anybody help, I have a 53 reg Mondeo 2 lite DCTI Estate which the tailgate unlocks itself intermittantly and the unlock switch on the dash board has stopped working. Thank.
You probably have broken wire(s) in the grommet where it comes from the roof to the tailgate.Open the tailgate and pull back the grommet to check, if any are broken.
Thanks for your help. I think I have found the fault it seem's to have been the wiring or switch next to the number plate light.I have disconected it from the wiring harness and it's been ok.
