Mondeo mk2 wipers stop mid screen

Hi all,
Can anybody tell me why my Mk2 Mondeo wipers when turning them off stop mid screen and also the intermittent wipers don't work at all?

It's been a few years since we scrapped the MK2 car. My current old ford van wipers stop mid screen when I turn ignition off.

If they are just stopping mid screen I guess you need to swap relay. Just pulls out.

Might be the column switch or relay as they do wear out. I'd start with wiper relay second hand or new off eBay.

Thanks for your advice! I've ordered a new relay.
It's not the easiest thing to locate as having to take the glove box out then that little clip to drop the fuse box down.

Could be the park switch in the wiper motor.
