In this thread...
Yet another example of JohnW and sadly others hijacking a relatively straight forward question and answer session ...
I really think that hijack is a rather strong word here - I merely made one little comment, which led to some responses. If you want to find examples of my hijacking a thread, there are far better examples you could find than this one!
I was applauding the fact that I thought he had mended his ways with the creation of several 'new' topics over the past few days - even one that he linked from an OP's question. Perhaps old habits take longer to overcome.
As I said I would, I have been creating spin-off threads, linked to the original thread as appropriate, whenever a thread has drifted onto a spin-off/tangential discussion which has resulted in a few exchanges in the original thread. I had not considered that what has happened in this thread, all in the past few hours, had yet reached that stage and, in any event, it really seemed too trivial an issue to warrant a thread of its own. However, I'm grateful for you observations and will take on board your views, and will therefore attempt to separate the spin-offs/'asides' even earlier in future.

Kind Regards, John

In my view riveralt is out of order and most probably his comments were more of a hi-jack than any others.
The discussion was about safe zones and never drifted from that and was also relevant to the op's question.
The lad/lass needs to get a grip!

Well, he was right it the sense that I 'unnecessarily' introduced a potential confusion - but, as things worked out, it did result in a relevant discussion as to why (in addition to being non-compliant) it is not a good idea to have cables in safe zones created by accessories they are not connected to - an explanation I had overlooked when I made my initial comment. However, as I wrote to him, I did think that the accusation of 'hijack' was a bit OTT!

Kind Regards, John
