Mortar plasticiser - out of date

I have an old 5l container of mortar plasticiser hanging about (approx 1-2 years ‘out of date’)

Will this be ok to use to add to my patio mortar bed … I mean, it’s not like chicken….?

Never even noticed a date on them. I’m sure it’ll be fine, I’ve probably had some of mine for longer than that
