Moss build up

Hi,

Over the last couple of years I've noticed alot of moss build up on my roof next to the chimney, I don't seem to have any leaks yet but I've read on the internet that this can cause problems as the frost will expand the moss and somehow cause cracks in the roof. Is this true as I can't really afford a new roof and am just leaving it at the moment.

The only problem you will get from moss on your roof is a messy path.

The moss won't do any harm. And even if you could get up there to clean it off, it would re-appar within a few weeks.
