We have a light fitted outside our home. It used to turn on when someone walks past our home. At the moment it always stays on. Never turns off. If I the change the sensor will it work ? Or do I have to change the whole light assembly ?

Some lights have an over-ride switch installed. Are you sure you don't have one / or its is off?

Is your light an all-in one unit (ie a light with an integral detector).
If so it will be easier/better to change the whole thing.

If you do, then think about buying a low energy version, or not having one - the local council are usually the ones who pay for street lighting.
