Hi, I have mould growing in a few areas under and around the bay window. I had mould issues before but it went by itself. It's now back and worse than before. The area felt wet even 2 weeks ago after a long month's spell of dry weather but there is no pipe work in the front of the house. I have not moved furniture around and really concerned about why and how this is happening. Any idea how to fix it?

If it is wet then water is getting there from somewhere, have a look outside to see if the damp proof course has been bridged by soil outside. Also, is there something making the soil out there wet?

Hi Mike and thank you for the replay. The floor in front of the house is cemented and partly tiled, no soil. Does this make the issue different?

A slabbed (tiled) area can also bridge the DPC. Can you see the DPC? It should be c. 2 bricks above the ground level.

@ Stephen there are 2 lines that I seem to identify on the external wall. I painted over it a few times so not that clear. 1 line is about 2 bricks above the ground and one brick above the ventilation grid. The second line is about 4 bricks up from ground level but then again I don't know if either of them is the actual DPC, does this helps? Have I said thank you to you all anyway for trying to help me, here I am, thank you all please dont stop ;)

Is that asphalt paint on the front? Really cannot tell what is there, the paving looks like it might be damp around there?
The water on the inside has to come from somewhere, either the dpc has failed or it is bridged seem the most likely.

I wanted to give you an update and thank you for the support, it seems the water is coming from the roof and found its way down the ground floor. I can see water marks on the wall under the flashing of the roof. Not a job I can do by myself, unfortunately, but thank you all.
