On each wall there is a moulded box covered with blank plate and 2 foot cable run in conduit from ceiling. I suspect they have something to do with recessed ceiling lights but can’t be too sure. For what reason are they being there and would it be possible to conceal them within ceiling space or behind the walls? p.s. picture enc.

Possibly old wall mounted heaters, have seen this in a number of houses

Hi

Thanks for super fast reply. No trace of any heaters been hung on the walls and no flex hole in moulded box.

I have read somewhere about accessibility for inspection, may or may not be the case here…just a stab in the dark

Any chance of a closer look?

Is there a cover that comes off?

That light in the foreground doesn't look recessed enough....

Correct, but if as you say there is an accessible space above the ceiling, I don't know why they would bring these down like this just for access
