I have some walls in my house that have had the wallpaper stripped back to the plaster. There is some black mouldy patches showing from previous damp areas - the roof has been fixed now so they should be drying out.
Can anyone tell me the best way to treat the bad areas? Is it to hack out the mouldy plaster, treat with fungicide and then replaster? Or can I just skim the areas involved? I'd appreciate any help.

Mmm that's right. But the first one was put in the wrong section and I couldn't change it. Sorry Breezer I forgot that you split hairs! Can you answer the question?

It's a bit drastic hacking off the plaster isn't it? I've always killed mould with bleach. I think some of this anti-fungicide stuff is a health hazard.
