can anyone advise how diffifult it is to move fuse boxes & electrical meters? Sorry I have no knowledge of electrics. also is it ridiculously expensive? We'd anticipate keeping them in the same room, perhaps even on the same wall, just in a different location. They're currently high up on the kitchen wall (we've got really high floor to ceilings) and are pretyy unsightly. Ideally would like to move them down so they could be contained out of sight within kitchen units.

Many thanks....

You cant touch the electricity meters.. it belongs to the supply company however i've seen many people move them anyway. However you can move the fusebox away from the supply companys equipment at a maximum of 2metres.

usually costs maybe... £300 to install new fuseboard and an extra £200 maybe for testing and inspection.

My advice is to get an electrician to sort it out as it is very dangerous, maybe he knows someone from the supply company who can move the incoming supply cable for you.
