My wife and I really like our house location and size but hate the internal layout. Is it feasible to move all the internal walls around to suit our lifestyle or are we stuck with the walls where they are?
Its a 1930's ex council house with floorboards with a space underneath where all the pipes go. I would like to put solid walls back in not the flimsy timber and plasterboard rubbish I see in modern houses.

Your first point of contact would be a Architect/Structual Surveyor, as there are sure to be support walls involved, and calculations/plans will need to be provided for any work made these.
Also you can contact your local Building Control Office, the Building Control Officer will be able to advise you of what they require before any work takes place.
