moving my economy 7 storage heater

hi i have all econ 7 in my house, the big one in the lounge i want to put on the opposite wall, i notice to wire just goes in the wall with the on/off switch plate! can i put a plug on the end and just plug it into a normal socket? if not what can i do

thats not really the answer i was looking for!!and i also just read on this forum a person tested 2 of his fires on a ringmain socket and they both worked, if you dont know the answer dont post a coment, im only here for people who ONLY know the right answer

It appears the right answer to you is 'yes its acceptable'

Perhaps you should listen to someone who has given you advice.

Or you could ignore what everyone says as they give you the 'wrong' answer.

Move the thing and watch the wire glow.

ill call my local qualified electrician out he can move it for me

thanks john i called my sparky who done work before he explained why not and is comming on monday to find a solution, it may cost me a bit more but it has to move, i dont wanna blow the fuse,
