MPs' pay rise?

One thing they should do is,, build a hotel/hostel for all MP's to stay in whilst they are attending the HoP. Nothing too grand, perhaps something like the equivalent of a 3 star hotel. Then stop the second home expenses. This would stop them doing this so called "Flipping", where they have swapped the house they say is their second home, for tax purposes and stop them profiteering at our expense. Any wage the MP's are paid, should of course be based on attendance. Years ago it was supposed to be an honour to be an MP and represent the people of this nation. Now it's nothing short of a lucrative income creator. I personally think all MP's should be made to spend their first year in parliament , existing on the NMW ( with minimum expenses too) Let's see how many people want to become MP's then.

How about on top of that, you cannot be an MP until you have at least 15 yrs working experience background, this way they would have a better understanding in the real world

The problem with that is how do you define 'work experience' and 'real world'?

The problem is nearly all MP's are millionaires handed down by their wealthy parents so they have no real understanding about working life and no knowledge of life outside politics
