I take it that your cooker switch also has a 3-pin plug on it too?

If so, then a 3amp fuse in a plug with flex up to your extractor won't be a problem won't be a problem.

Hi,

Just wondering if I could do the following as per the attached drawing.

Cheers

What size cables are you using to connect the first and second socket?
What size is the MCB protecting the circuit?

The purpose of the MCB is to trip before the current carrying capacity of the cable is exceeded.

If you have used 2.5mm then why not lower the MCB to 16 or 20Amps.
Alternatively put a suitabley sized FCU in between the first and second socket.

What size fuse is protecting the circuit, if you down the fuse rating to say 20Amps at the CU, you could then also decrease cable size from cooker switch to your socket outlets to 2.5mm cable, which will make it much easier to terminate in to socket outlet plates, than it will with two sets of 6.00mm

Haven't do it yet and don't want a flex travelling up the wall. I want it behind the plasterboard, will be RCD'ing the whole lot so will this comply with Part P (Scotland)?
