Looking for a smarter way to manage your heating this winter? We’ve been testing the new Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 to see how quiet, accurate and easy it is to use around the home. Click here read our review.
I have a Robin 1620 which I am thinking of updating.
I've looked at Megger 1552 and Fluke 1652.I'm looking at about £500.00 ish
But also now seen the Alphatek range.
I've an Alphatec / Metrel Easitest. Very easy to use and does most things. Instructions in weirdish. A bit expensive at the time, but I've never regretted getting it. Now 2+ years old, has been soaked, dropped and no problems (recalibration showed no deviation). Leads are a bit short for comfort sometimes. Battery life good.
HTH
I've an Alphatek too and no complaints. (Batteries recharge in the tester so no Duracell munching).
Whatever tester you go for you should keep an eye on what the requirments may be for the upcoming 17th edition of the regs. Touch Voltage is, I believe, to be an additional requirement of the RCD test.
Some testers already do this, some dont, so make sure your new baby is future proof.
