Hi

I am looking to buy either the makita TM3000c or Bosch gop250ce OMT

these are about the same price, and seem to be very similar apart from the makita being slightly more powerful, i have been unable to find a guide that actually compares the two,

Could anyone give me any guidance on which is the better model to go with?

Both decent tools but for preference, I'd go for a multi-tool that doesn't need an allen key to change the cutter/head.

Also, suggest a check on the on-going cost of the so called consumables.

Check on the cost of cutters, sanding disks, whatever you will be using the device for.

Speed and initial cost pale when you have to purchase the consumables at an inflated cost?

Have you looked at the new Festool Oscillator......i bit the bullet and got one from nuts and bolts in weston s mare, what an amazing piece of kit. Should be though for the price.
