Multiple layers of cushioned vinyl

Hi All

Can cushioned vinyl be successfully laid on top of more cushioned vinyl? Its time to replace the bathroom floor, and I was thinking that putting the new layer on top would keep the floor warmer and more cushioned.

It's not recommended and will compromise the finished install, there are plenty of things that can go wrong, the design of the vinyl underneath will almost certainly show through the new vinyl after a short time for a start.
