I need to run a number of pipes, mainly 22mm vertically up a plaster lathe wall and I wondered if there are multiple pipe clips which will support 6 or more pipes but only require fixing at strategic points. This will allow me to fix through to the studs giving a solid support, while having evenly spaced pipework. The only alternative I can see is to hack through the lathe and fit some horizontal batten to the studs. I don't want to fit batten on the surface of the wall, as this will raise the level of the pipework more than I want.

Talon clips can be clipped together and can then be fixed through convenient clips to secure to the wall. They are available in 15mm, 22mm and 28mm and all can be clipped to each other, regardless of the size used. Available from most plumbers merchants.

Agreed! Buy the talon ones, then fix wherever convinient as they clip together.
If you buy some singles and some doubles it'll make it easier because the singles screw in under the pipe, the doubles screw in between the pipes so you can fit them and then fix them.
