multistove back plate fixing problem

I AM TRYING TO FIT STOVE IN LIVING ROOM WITHOUT TAKING OUT FIRE SURROUND,ITS MADE OF CAST METAL SO THE IDEA WAS TO GLUE PLATE ONTO SURFACE WITH FIRE CEMENT.ON BURNING WOOD THERE WAS NO PROBLEM,SO I TRIED COAL,AFTER AN HOUR OR SO THE PLATE EXPANDED THUS BLOWING PLATE OF CEMENT,IS THERE ANY SORT OF FLEXIBLE FIRE SEALANT THAT WOULD DO THE JOB.OR WILL I HAVE TO HAVE IT FITTED NORMALLY????

There are flexible heat resistant silicon sea lent out there but can't you fix it to the wall with maybe fixing for could cover up be a much stronger fixing to physically fix it to the wall.
