i have a hotpoint aquarius wd440 washer dryer, i don't think that it's heating the water. i bought it second hand but it aint had much use, it also has what seem to be two cold feeds but when i got it both pipes went into a tee piece that goes to the cold mains. would you be able to just switch this pipe to the hot feed as i have a brand new combi, any help greatly appreciated, i have read every relevant topic that already exists and can't find trhe answer, thanks

the answer is no ,cold fill only 1 goes to the condenser and 1 goes to cold fill only .your heater is working because if it wasnt it would wash all day and night it would not switch from wash to rinse .

OH yeah also the w/m will not progress past the wash program, i have to stop it manually and then put it on rinse and spin. i think i located the heating element at the top of the waste filter and there is 230v there, could it be a stat somewhere? i'm an electrician by the way but know nothing about this, ta

HAHA i think i just answered my own question!! posted this before i read your post. thanks pal
