My cooker is spurred off a socket.

That's basically what i have now aptsys. The single oven is wired into a fcu off the twin socket. I could swap the fcu for a oven connection unit leaving the oven as is. Run a single socket off the new connection unit. Wire the new hob into the new cooker switch & socket combo which is replacing the twin socket?
