my cooker

i purchased a 2m 6mm cable to connect my cooker to the mains,is this ok and i bought sheathing for the earth wire,is this the right cable?
 
I presume you mean from the cooker to the outlet/cooker switch.

6mm² should be fine as long as your protectived device (fuse/mcb) is no bigger than 32A.If it is then we will have to look at how the cable is ran to determine if it is safe to be on a 40/45A protective device.
 
can anyone help me ive wired it up to the cooker but still to wire it to consumer unit on wall
