Hi, just moved in a new house and am trying to figure out how does the Central Heating work. It might be simple for many of you but sorry for me it looks a bit complicated ! here are some pictures

Is the timer for the hot water or for both hot water and heating ? I have one thermostat on the floor below and I did set it up at 19 degrees but when it gets cold i need to activate the heating manually by pressing on the +1H touch. it seems I can program a sort of heating pattern throughout the week, anybody knows where to find the instructions ? (Danfoss does not have it on their website....)

What a mess

Danfoss programmer, probably a FP715. Left side just for heating, right side just for HW.

Why, I wonder is there 2 lots of flex going to the pump?

Why is the securing strap on the cyl stat not around the middle?

Why is the fused outlet for the heating (I presume) not fixed safely to the surface box?

Superswitch timer is just for the immersion back up.

Press the prog button and it will go into set time mode, press the prog button again and it will go into CH setting mode, adjust each flashing parameter then press next on/off. When all ch times set press prog again and repeat for HW times etc.

Thank you very much dave ! so the Superswitch is just in case of the programmer going wrong ? also wondering why the two radiators on the lowest level of the house are cold... tried both settings (+/-) none makes any difference I also tried taking out any air stuck in the radiators but only water came out.

No, it's if the gas heating , which also heats the hot water, fails..

Lots of posts here on cold rads - do a search.
