My toilet flush mechanism has broke. Can you confirm what the part I need to buy is called?

Hi Andy.

I've almost done this. But it seems that this syphon does not fit onto the pipe between cistern and bowl. The syphon is the correct height generally, but only if the pipe was not as long.

Is the solution to hacksaw the pipe so it's not as long?

Flush pipe should fit snugly inside the tail of the siphon, if Flush Pipe is too long cut it down a bit. Do not attempt to trim anything off the tail of the siphon. Check siphon will fit inside cistern and lid sits correctly before doing anything else, but siphon does appear to be height adjustable to suit varying cisterns.

Once siphon is fitted, offer flush pipe up, see how much will go up inside tail of siphon then trim flush pipe to suit.
