Hi there,
I have a Myson Economist WM50/60 BF boiler that was working fine all winter
up until a couple of days ago. The pilot went out and so shut down the gas valve. It will relight and the boiler will fire up. Then it runs for 4 or 5 minutes
then the valve shuts down and takes the pilot out too. The pump is working fine and there is water circulating. I don't think its overheating but appears to be thinking it is. I am pretty sure the same symptoms happened a couple of years ago when we still had a service contract and the Southern Gas man fitted a new thermostat. (the one that runs from the pilot lite. After which it ran ok. Is it likely to be the same thing needing replacing again?
