there are many systems deppending on how big your house is these can range from £250 fully installed or you could ask the current supplier to cancle your police contract. you could even have a speech dialler or in simpler terms a device that calls your mobile phone when your alarm is going off

as above
there are many systems out there from many suppliers that will do as you want them to;

my advice is;

call three companies (not ADT) local firms on the NSI and SSAIB register
and get them to give you a quote,
dont go for the cheapest,
if you have any questions on what the companies are likely to fit, just ask here and we will answer

dont go for YALE or RESPONSE wireless.

hope this helps,

and yep we work in London every week, fitting and maintaining sytems that just make a lot of noise!!!
but some just call the local police, it depends on what you want to do;

If you dont need it to be insurance approved then a YALE will doo the job.
You can even get ones that will call you on your mobile if the alarm goes off.

Get something like a Texecom R8 with 4 sensors and expect to pay about £350-£400. Any more and you are being ripped off.

If your going to give advice get it right.

See the price difference?

And if you are going to give advice , why not just give it ...without having a go at other posters :evil:

Oh god another expert.
Who had a go?
Show me the money? I said if your going to do it do it right.

If you dont have a clue dont even bother to post ehh!!

But as your all one little smug club and all band together :D

But back to the bad advice, he is saying 300 quid is possibly too much to pay for a wired system including parts mark up and labour.........rofl.
You must all be really thick to think paying peanuts gets you a correctly fitted decent system.
